Not a surprise as broadband connections, webcams, and Apple computers with built in iSight cameras and video editing software are becoming commonplace.

Jobster has even enabled embedding of YouTube videos into Jobster profiles. So I could post my video resume on YouTube, embed it into my Jobster profile, and include the url of my jobster profile on my resume and in an email to a recruiter. Here and here are some other examples of how users have used the video feature in Jobster.

So here’s the challenge, how are recruiters going to handle video resumes and remain compliant with their EEO policies. What if someone sends an email with a link to their video resume on YouTube? Will they be judged on their appearance? Their clothing? The way they speak? It’s almost like a first-round interview. So how do Recruiters handle in-person interviews now?

The other question is, how can recruiters use video to get their companies exposure? Here’s one example of a recruiting video posted on a recruiter’s Jobster profile page. For more, check out Video resumes are emerging, so what about videos about your company?
